NOKIA CEO WILL KILL MEEGO EVEN IF N9 SUCCEEDS

Not prolonged after “leaking” Nokia’s initial Windows smartphone, codenamed “Sea Ray,” CEO Stephen Elop told a Finnish new-spaper which even if a new- MeeGo-based N9, launched a day before, succeeds, it will be Nokia’s final device upon a Meego handling system.
“In Elop’s words, there is no returning to MeeGo, even if a N9 turns out to be a hit,” wrote a Finnish daily, a Helsingin Sanomat.

On Thursday, Elop influenced a blogosphere when he teased what he called a initial Nokia Windows device, which is rumored to be rising this fall.

Unfortunately it left a green ambience in a mouths of MeeGo fans, many of whom have been passionate, long-time Nokia use-rs and- developers. In Feb Elop, who assimilated Nokia from Microsoft in 2008, voiced a billion-dollar agreement with Microsoft which puts a Windows Phone 7 handling complement in Nokia hand-sets; Nokia’s own Symbian and- MeeGo handling systems would be relegated to “science projects.”

“I have taken partial in a conversations with a teleoperators and- you have been partial of a consumer exam groups. The feedback has been intensely certain and- you am certain which a Windows Phone complement will be a good success”, Elop says of a vital partnership voiced with microsoft in Feb of this year.

Elop desperately needs Nokia’s new partnership with Microsoft, which fills Nokia hand-sets with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 handling system, to succeed. He faces lowered sales targets for a rest of a year, rumors of a Nokia selloff, layoffs in a thousand-s, and- disunion by Nokia’s many constant followers.

In a same talk Elop pronounced he was “sure” arriving Nokia Windows phones would be a “great success.”

“I understand- utterly which a investors wish to see a formula of a new- plan in their full glory. This will take a little time, though once you have been in a on all sides to deliver a formula of a strategy, you am certain a doubts will disperse,” he said.
