A toast to Oktoberfest

Don't look now, but today is officially the last day of summer. No more pool parties. Time to stop thinking about frozen margaritas on rooftop decks. Farewell, swim trunks — hello, lederhosen?

That's right. It's Oktoberfest time.

Last Saturday, the lord mayor of Munich tapped a barrel of beer with a cry of "O'zapft is!" ("It is tapped!") to kick off the 187th Oktoberfest celebration in Germany. Meanwhile, here, lines stretched out the doors of Biergarten Haus as H Street Festival-goers waited to visit the Bavarian-themed beer garden.
