Silver Peak unveils multi-gigabit WAN optimization appliance

Silver Peak Systems today released its highest-end WAN optimization appliance targeted at speeding data replication for disaster recovery, opening up bandwidth for cloud/virtual environments and branch offices.
Silver Peak said its new NX-10K WAN optimization appliance can produce up to 2.5Gbps of WAN bandwidth, and allows up to 256,000 simultaneous sessions in a box that is about one-third the size of competing products.
