Manassas man dies after being subdued with Taser

Prince William County police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old Manassas man who died after he was subdued with a Taser.

Debro Lamonte Wilkerson was being treated by paramedics Saturday afternoon when he became disorderly, police spokesman Jonathan L. Perok said. The paramedics called the police, who used a Taser to subdue Wilkerson. Wilkerson was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

Wilkerson was staying at his sister's house, in the 11000 block of Hiram Court in Manassas. He had just taken a shower and said he felt like he was having a heart attack, said his brother-in-law, Tammie Fitts. Wilkerson's pulse was racing, and his niece called 911.
