Montgomery Co. women bitten by camel at Frederick County zoo

A Montgomery County woman was nipped by a camel at a zoo in Frederick County while apparently trying to shield her small daughter, a county official said Friday.

The incident occurred Thursday at the Catoctin Zoo in the Thurmont area, said Harold Domer, director of the Frederick County animal control division.

He identified the woman as Dina MacDonald, 29, of Olney, and said she received two stitches for a bite in her right forearm.
