Paul Ryan really, seriously, definitely not running for president

After leaving the door to a bid ever-so-slightly open last week, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has decided he's still not running for president. For real this time. He said in a statement:

Ryan has repeatedly denied interest in the presidency over the past year, the House budget committee chairman spent the last week thinking over a 2012 bid in Colorado.

As The Fix wrote last week, Ryan would have faced significant hurdles on the path to the nomination and would likely have caused controversy among Republicans by making his Medicare plan a major part of the presidential race.
