Woman wanted plane to fly angry debt crisis banner over D.C.

Manhattanites looked up Tuesday to see an unusual message on a banner carried by a plane: "Thanks for the downgrade...You should all be fired."

Turns out the high-flying commentary on the debt crisis came courtesy an angry Midwestern mom and stockbroker. What's more, it was originally supposed to fly over D.C. But, it seems, air space restrictions over the District foiled those plans.

Fortune reported the woman really need to vent. The flight was estimated to cost between $1,200 and $1,500 — and that seems like a steal given the story has been plastered all over the national news.
