Maryland football: Because of suspensions, wide receivers get chance to prove themselves

Ronnie Tyler and Quintin McCree arrived at Maryland's preseason camp with chips firmly planted on their shoulders, eager to prove wrong outside critics who claimed the Terrapins' retooled wide receiving corps was deficient.

The seniors, two of Maryland's three best receivers, figured to play large roles in establishing the unit's reputation. But it is because of their absences that the Terrapins are now getting ample opportunity to test the extent of their depth at the position.
