Five tornadoes hit Va., National Weather Service confirms

Five tornadoes hit Virginia on Thursday, two of them in the Washington area and another in Louisa County, where the recent earthquake was centered, the National Weather Service said.

Other possible tornadoes are still being investigated, the service said Friday night.

No injuries were attributed to the twisters, which included one in Fairfax County and a second in Prince William County.
