• Sen. Harry Reid's wife is being treated for breast cancer, his office disclosed Friday. Landra Reid, 71, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and is receiving chemotherapy; the Associated Press reports she's expected to recover, thanks to early detection. A year and a half ago, she and her daughter were badly injured in a car accident on I-95 in Fairfax County, but she pulled through in time to attend her husband's reelection party in November.
