Readers sound off on tough-talking judge and transportation haiku

Brooklyn : Kudos to Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Edward McLaughlin for turning the sentencing of violent Harlem drug dealers into a lecture on parental responsibility ("Judge lays down law," Nov. 30). It is the job of family members to monitor the behavior of young people who become involved with gun violence, drugs and other crimes. The time has come to live up to the duties of good parenting.
