QUOTE OF THE DAY

GOP candidate Newt Gingrich on his opponent Mitt Romney's performance in last night's debate:

"I think it's the most blatantly dishonest performance by a presidential candidate I've ever seen."

COMMENT OF THE DAY

Curmudgeon10, on Ed O'Keefe's "Aneesh Chopra leaving the White House, likely to run for Virginia lieutenant governor" story:

The truth is though there will be MILLIONS of people for many, many years that will still need to do stuff with paper. So the paperless dream and the papered reality are going to co exist for some time.

Q&A DISCUSSIONS

Aaron Blake was online at 11 a.m. ET to discuss Winners and Losers of Florida debate:

Q: Rick Santorum: Does he continue on if he places a distant third in Florida? Do you think he helped himself last night?

Aaron Blake:

He definitely helped himself last night. He landed some of the sharpest blows on Romney and had some touching moments when talking about immigration and his wife. But he's very far back right now, and he hasn't been able to raise much money. Unless he somehow surges to challenge Gingrich for second, I don't see Florida being a positive for him.
