Though he hadn't made any announcements regarding a divorce, Russell Brand may have been majorly hinting at his failed marriage in a video he recorded back in November.

The "Get Him To The Greek" stud embarked on a US college tour two months ago, beginning at Eastern Michigan University and moving up into the New England states.

And as a harbinger of his divorce announcement, Brand noted that he'd be leaving his wedding ring behind- "I'm going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week."

He also shared that he wanted to get a first-hand look at sorority life during the tour. "I don't know what a sorority is, except for what I have seen on Nudevista [X-rated website] – that they are sort of sex clubs for women."

Shortly after the video was made, Katy Perry, Brand's now-ex-wife tweeted her support. "My fowl (sic) mouthed Hubby @rustyrockets is playing a few mid-west/east-coast shows starting tonight onwards! SUPPORT!"

And a month later, Russell and Katy were busy filing divorce papers, putting an end to their 14-month union.
