Guantanamo detainee Majid Khan has agreed to plead guilty and testify at the trials of other detainees in exchange for a reduced sentence and eventual freedom, according to officials familiar with the case.
The plea agreement by Khan, who lived as a child in the suburbs of Baltimore, is the first by any of the 14 suspects who were held in secret CIA prisons overseas until 2006, when they were transferred to the U.S. military prison in Cuba.
