Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), will run for the House seat she recently vacated. Barber, 66, was Giffords' district director until she retired last month. He was shot twice, once in the face and once in the leg, in the January 2011 shooting in Tucson that left six dead and Giffords severely wounded.
