WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED * Just as he did before the Michigan primary, former Pennsylvania Rick Santorum has already declared preemptive victory in Tuesday's contests. "We're winning," he told ABC News. "Whether we end up with the most votes or not [in Ohio], we're winning," because "we are hanging in this race" despite being massively outspent. He called Romney's campaign "pathetic" for arguing that Santorum can't mathemetically pick up enough delegates to win. * A CNN poll taken March 1 to March 4 shows Romney and Santorum tied in Ohio at 32 percent, echoing a Suffolk Poll and a Quinnipiac poll released earlier today. Given that Santorum was leading a few days ago, a tie suggests Romney has the momentum going into tomorrow's election. * BuzzFeed has dug up clips of Romney touting his health-care reform as a model for President Obama in 2009. The appearances followed on the heels of a USA Today op-ed in which Romney advocated for a national individual health-care mandate. Of course, both Gingrich and Santorum have advocated for individual mandates in the past. * The same CNN poll shows former House speaker Newt Gingrich has maintained his huge lead in Georgia, taking 47 percent of likely GOP primary voters. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is a distant second with 24 percent, followed by Santorum with 15 percent. * Rep. Jason Altmire(D) has survived a court challenge and will stay on the ballot in Pennsylvania. His primary opponent, Rep. Mark Critz had challenged Altmire's signatures as invalid for a variety of reasons; he's now exploring further legal options. WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T MISS * Not letting Republicans hog the Super Tuesday spotlight, President Obama has scheduled his first press conference of the year for tomorrow afternoon. * Gingrich, Romney and Santorum will all address the American Israel Political Action Committee conference tomorrow morning. Obama addressed the powerful lobbying group this weekend, urging its members to give sanctions against Iran a chance but promising that he would not let the country get a nuclear weapon. * New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is headed to Boston to fundraiser for Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) tonight. He formally endorsed his fellow Republican today, saying in a statement that "Scott cuts through the baloney and calls the issues like he sees them, and I am proud to endorse his campaign." * Wealthy Santorum backer Foster Friess has not been seen on television much since he suggested women use aspirin "between their knees" as birth control.
