U-Va. vice rector resigns


The second-ranking member of the University of Virginia's Board of Visitors, Vice Rector Mark Kington, has resigned from the board effective immediately. Kington said in a letter to Gov. Robert F. McDonnell that he hoped his resignation would "begin a needed healing process" after the ouster of U-Va. President Teresa Sullivan.
