	Monday, July 16, 2012 9:30:44 PM POLITICS NEWS ALERT DISCLOSE Act fails to advance in Senate The Senate on Monday failed to advance legislation that would require independent groups to disclose the names of contributors who give more than $10,000 for use in political campaigns. The DISCLOSE Act, sponsored by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), failed on a procedural vote by a margin of 51 to 44 votes. It needed 60 votes to move forward.
