It was revealed that Julian Cheung will be starting his 2013 with a new movie.

As reported on Popular Asians, the actor's new rom-com, "Born To Love You" will be released next year. Directed by up-and-coming director Hu Chongxi, Julian will be playing a middle-aged character named Fong Ka Sing, who falls in love with a young musician named Shen Qi, portrayed by Mini Fu.

Speaking to the media about his new role, Julian stated, "I accepted the offer because of the character's mature image."
Julian also expressed his enthusiasm playing a mature character, an opportunity that was hard to come by due to his baby face.

Asked about the age gap between him and leading lady Mini Fu, the actor also revealed that he has no problems communicating with the actress, who is 18 years his junior. The 41-year-old explained, "I feel that as an actor, we should not place too much of our own emotions into our work but to use our heart to learn and experience our characters them through their lens."

Slated for early 2013 release, "Born To Love You" tells the story of Fong Ka Sing, a middle-aged Hong Kong man, who forces the young Shen Qi to pretend to be his girlfriend so he can get out of a relationship with another woman.
