Is this a brand new novel?

Actually, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts 1 and 2 is a play, which is currently running in London’s West End, according to the Huffington Post. The play was written by Jack Thorne, was based on thoughts from Jack, J.K. and John Tiffany. J.K. has confirmed that this is a script of the London stage production, but any new Potter material is highly anticipated.
So, what happens in The Cursed Child?

The story picks off right after the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There are only a few details to share. Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny have returned, as has Dracro Malfoy. But, the story focuses on Harry’s son, Albus. The synopsis states:

"It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

How much will the book cost?

For those who scoop up the new Potter adventure right away, the book will only cost $17.99 (plus applicable taxes.) It normally retails for 29.99, so fans need to check local stores for prices. However, for the first glimpse into Harry Potter’s world in nearly a decade, some fans will say that no price is too high.

Are you going to get the new Harry Potter book on opening night, HollywoodLifers? Or will you wait until later? Are you excited to read this new adventure?
