Big crowds in Ashburn for Redskins’ fan appreciation day

After anemic fan attendance on the first eight days of training camp, the Washington Redskins saw a crowd that appears to be in the thousands for fan appreciation day Saturday at Redskins Park.

An hour before the start of practice, traffic was backed up on Loudoun County for roughly a half mile.

In camp for the first time is punter Sav Rocca, who finally obtained his work visa, flew from Australia and now is on the field with his teammates, wearing No. 6.
