Maryland football fights valiantly, but falls to Georgia Tech, 21-16

ATLANTA —Andrew Gonnella, Maryland's starting left guard and one of four co-captains, lay on the football field for nearly 15 minutes after suffering a knee injury so gruesome ESPNU refused to replay it on the television broadcast. Flanked by medical staff, teammates and school officials, Gonnella relayed a message to teammates through his head coach before being whisked away in an ambulance:
