No lead too big in comeback-happy NFL

In the new NFL, practically no lead is safe. Passing yards and points are piling up at dizzying, record-setting rates. So, too, are big comebacks.

Three touchdowns behind in the second half? No problem. Just start revving up the offense. Three touchdowns ahead? Be worried. Be very, very worried.

NFL teams have overcome deficits of 20 points or more to win games four times this season. That already matches the largest number of comebacks of that size in any NFL season, with 13 weeks still to be played.
