"Contraband": In Theaters Now!

It's earned raved reviews ahead of its theatrical debut, and today (January 13), Mark Wahlberg's "Contraband" officially made its release.

Also starring Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster and Giovanni Ribisi, among others, the fast-paced thriller tells the story of a man who will go to any lengths to protect his family.

Set in New Orleans, the film centers on the underground world of international smuggling complete with criminals, corrupt officials and high stakes.

As for the numerous action sequences in the flick, Wahlberg told press, "I've pretty much done it all. In this one, I was usually always on the winning end of those kinds of fights and stuff with my co-stars, so that made it a lot a fun to be able to kick the crap out of those guys, even though I very much like and respect those guys. But, you know, it's part of the job."
