Among the many stars turning up for the annual event, Ian Somerhalder was on-hand for the 38th People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday (January 11).

The "Vampire Diaries" hunk wandered around the Nokia Theatre venue clad in a sleek grey suit as he chatted with actor Terrence Howard before taking the stage alongside Paul Wesley to present an award.

And while he steered clear of being photographed alongside his co-star girlfriend Nina Dobrev, Ian did shoot out a congratulatory tweet upon her big win as Favorite TV Drama Actress.

To his lady, Somerhalder wrote, "Congratulations Nina!!! You won!!!! People DO like you;) You rock babe, truly"
