Twitter Inc.., The company behind the Twitter service, eventually won the case against domain name Twiter.com. World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) approved the transfer Twiter.com to Twitter Inc..
If only to see who first sign up, it should Twiter.com not required to submit its domain to Twitter. This is because Twiter.com registered since 2004, two years before Twitter.com.
However, the problem is so different when it is known that such action Twiter.com used for scams that lure users to submit their personal data.
Initially, Twiter.com not displaying strange things. Popularity of Twitter to make the site earned 100,000 visitors per month that comes from people who mistype.
But then, the manager Twiter.com instead divert visitors to a site named socialupdatepanel.com hoax. This site to lure visitors with the gift iPad iPhone 2 or 4 if you like filling out surveys.
Worse, the survey page design is very similar to the original page Twitter. This is potentially misleading users who thought the gift was formally comes from Twitter.
